Flock Freight embraces our unique position to drive industry change
By now, you’ve heard of Flock Freight. Maybe you read about our shared truckload solution in Forbes or saw our recent funding round in The Wall Street Journal. However you discovered us, we’re glad to meet you.
Let’s cut to the chase. We built a better way to move freight: shared truckload shipping.
While we didn’t invent the concept of carpooling freight, Flock Freight is the first in the industry to offer a technology-backed shared truckload solution that pools shipments at scale. We’re also the only logistics provider that guarantees shared truckload service.
As the only company that’s using technology to fundamentally change freight transportation, we have big ideas for supply chains in 2021. This year, we plan to invest in our proprietary technology and our people. By accelerating developments in our algorithms and adding to our team, we’ll make shared truckload even more accessible to shippers and carriers. We view our growth in the short term as the chance to further freight transportation in the long term.
Shared truckload benefits the industry by giving shippers a new option for freight that can’t fill a whole trailer. We think shippers deserve to have choices, and shared truckload demonstrates our commitment to that belief. Now, shippers with partials can leverage shared truckload’s hubless service — which accommodates loads of almost any size — instead of bending to the size constraints of the less-than truckload (LTL) mode or fixed costs of truckload (TL) shipping.
While we’re pleased to offer an alternative solution in shared truckload, we’re not here to condemn the LTL and TL modes. Shared truckload is just another way for shippers and carriers to move freight.
However, we’ve found that shippers and carriers alike see shared truckload as a solution to the industry’s empty-truck problem. As a B Corporation (and the first and only B Corp in the freight-shipping space at that), we’re very passionate about the value shared truckload brings to our customers, carrier partners, and planet. We understand our ability to fill trailers all the way as our opportunity to create positive industry change.
At the end of the day, we’re going to continue our efforts to transform the freight industry — without hesitation. We’ll also keep exploring partnerships that open the doors for shippers to realize a wider selection of freight services and for carriers to gain access to previously unmatched loads.
We’d love the chance to work with you in the future. Here’s to using innovative shipping as a force for good.
All the best,
Flock Freight Founder and CEO
